Proportionate Risk Management
Assessment first. Practical controls where needed.
Not every domestic property presents the same level of risk. The purpose of the assessment is to identify the actual system and provide sensible actions based on what is found.
Common recommendations can be simple.
Depending on the findings, actions may include flushing after vacancy, maintaining appropriate water temperatures, cleaning and descaling showerheads, addressing little-used outlets or investigating a system fault.
Where a plumbing or hot-water issue needs repair, that can be referred to an appropriate competent trade.
